The ‘Cacko’ strip, once much maligned by virtually everyone, unless you happened to have just had seven beers and been to a sporting event, has been firmly on our radar lately, as great new venues continue to open their doors here (check out our Statler & Waldorf verdict here!).

And now another bar we’d like to frequent is opening its doors today, with the arrival of craft beer bar, Brewski. Exposed brick and wood panelled interiors will offer patrons a reprieve from the bustle of the busy street outside, while they sample one of the eight rotating taps, or choose from one of over 60 bottled beers. If you’re not into beer, don’t fret. They also have an interesting and carefully curated wine list on offer.

Cheese plates and cold meats are on hand to complement the brews, and, stay tuned to the menu, because Brewski will soon boast a line up of simple and tasty pizzas, designed by The Golden Pig‘s Mark Ryan.

This bar is a stylish new addition to Brisbane’s craft bar scene, with custom built furniture, and a feature wall painted by artists and songwriters, Frank+Mimi.

With stouts, IPAs, ciders, and, our personal favourite, Rogers, on tap, this little bar has Friday night all over it.

Brewski is open from 12:00pm today. Get down there, and be sure to let us know what you think!
